The Dell Streak, after languishing on Android 1.6 for what must have felt like an eternity for the early adopters, has now been updated to Android 2.2. This means that the device now has full support for Flash 10.1, the ability to create Wi-Fi hotspots and all the speed and power optimisations you can shake a stick it. Lets just hope it’s good.

Dell will start shipping Froyo powered Streak tablets and update the earlier versions to Android 2.2 in the coming weeks. Dell Streak currently ships with Android 1.6, while some the units have been updated to Android 2.1 in UK.
